Mary Marg Helgenberger (born November 16 1958) is an American actor. She began her acting career in the 1980s. her professional career, and was recognized for portraying Siobhan Ryan in the daytime soap opera Ryan's Hope between 1982 and 1986. Her best-known role has been Catherine Willows, a CBS procedural police drama. Crime Scene Investigation, a television series that aired between 2000 and 2013, as well as Immortality which was a film for television made in 2015. Vegas (present-day) is the sequel to the first. Helgenberger was also famous in his character K.C. Koloski which she played on the drama series on ABC. China Beach (1988-91) won her an Emmy Award 1990 for Outstanding Actress in Drama Series. The other shows she has appeared in include the TV program Under the Dome (1998) and Intelligence (1995), as well as films Species (2000) Erin Brockovich (2000) and Mr. Brooks (2007). She was awarded the show's four Daytime Emmy award nominations for the show's efforts. In her other ventures McCain became a columnist for the Daily Mail newspaper after her three-year tenure on The View.
