Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was accepted as a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she was a flute pianist and harpsichord during three years. Lennox was able to survive on a student allowance as well as part-time jobs to help supplement her income. Lennox believed that her abilities were inferior to those of those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she considered other paths she could take. Lennox played flute with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. They did not make it to the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. She was the main member of The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. It was during this time that she became acquainted with Dave Stewart with whom she will form Pop duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began working on her debut album as a solo artist Diva and it was made available in the year 1992. It was a massive record both in terms of commercial and critical. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album, released in October 2014 was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored blues along with soul and jazz music. In addition in May 2019 Lennox released Lepidoptera an album of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. is a companion piece to her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You go... This album is her first made available for sale on her own. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on the 25th of December. She is an activist as well as a singer, philanthropist and musician native to Scotland. She had a small amount of recognition as part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to achieve international fame as the duo known as Eurythmics in the late 1980s. In 1992 Lennox started her own solo career through Her debut studio album Diva which yielded numerous successful songs like Why as well as Walking in Broken Glass.
