Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid's mother is Chinese and was raised as a Chinese in Vietnam. Winston Barrett Munn hails from the American South. Her parents divorced when she was just 2 years old. She was raised by her mother along with her stepfather, who is a United States Air Force officer. Olivia was raised mostly in Tokyo and Japan. Although the family moved out of Oklahoma and to numerous other areas but it was the city of Tokyo which she completed the majority of her education. At this point she was a part of several local theatre productions. Later, she became a model in the Japanese fashion industry. Olivia moved from the United States back to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of being an actor. Following a series of minor roles, Olivia found success when she got the role as Mily Acua on the Hawaii filming of the TV series Beyond the Break 2006 and the receptionist for Rob Schneider. She hosts "The Daily Nut" as well as the "Formula D" podcasts on G4. Her passion for surfing has been evident since the 2006 TV program Beyond the Break. The black belt she holds is taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother married again and this time, with a US Air Force member. Family members have moved around several times, but she was a majority of her youth in Tokyo Japan because that is the place where her father worked. The University of Oklahoma is where she completed her studies in journalism, with a minor in Japanese as well as drama and dramatic arts.
